Meet the Turnout Nation Team

Captains commit to helping people they know vote in the next election. Our organizers will send out tips, voting information and deadline reminders, as well as other ways to get involved in the community that you can opt into.

Tiffany Johnston,

Executive Director

Throughout her career, Tiffany has served the next generation of leaders and people of color via civic engagement and community outreach.

Prior to joining Turnout Nation, Tiffany was the Director of Minority and Small Business Development at The School District of Philadelphia. Tiffany spent time in DC and NYC working on major federal programs, overseeing project, compliance, and construction management, as well as disaster recovery and diversity and inclusion strategy. Tiffany was awarded a 40 Under 40 award from Professional Women for her work on recovery projects in New York after Hurricane Sandy. 

Tiffany received a BA from Haverford College in Sociology and Economics and remains an active alumnus.

Mark Mullen,

Founder

Mark Mullen founded Turnout Nation over two years ago as a way to help return political power to the American people. He cares deeply about small “d” democracy, community, neighborhoods, bicycles, books, swimming, and how we can all be better citizens.

 

Mark also founded Transparency International in the Republic of Georgia and has spent decades monitoring and facilitating elections in struggling democracies in East Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Jenn Brown,

Project Manager

Jenn has long worked with nonprofits in different capacities, from a volunteer to board member. She spent more than a decade working abroad in China and Southeast Asia, helping both businesses and nonprofits launch their programs. Since moving back to the US, she has worked with different mission-driven organizations to help scale and make a positive impact in the community. She has a BA in Government and East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University, and an MBA from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School.

In her spare time she's a podcast junkie, trail runner, yoga teacher, and frequent flier mile hoarder (just saving those points for when it's safe to finally travel again!)

Angela Owens, 

Captain Coordinator

Angela has over ten years of nonprofit experience and uniquely understand the needs of nonprofits and organization leadership. She has a passion for working with nonprofits and seeing the impact they make on communities.

 

Before Turnout Nation, she worked as a Project Manager for a Search Firm, a Collaboration/Partnership Manager for a nonprofit organization, and as a Client Relationship Manager for a Corporate Real Estate Association.

She enjoys cooking, crocheting, traveling and binge watching her favorite television shows.

Meghan Castle, Operations Manager

Meaghan is an operations expert and copywriter with extensive experience in tech management and documentary film production. Meaghan holds an MFA in Writing from VCFA.

Meaghan loves hiking and kayaking. She's currently working on becoming an Adirondack 46er. With a three-to-one cat to human ratio, she is also proud to qualify as a crazy cat lady.

Marc Goldstein,

Growth Consultant

Marc has helped companies grow profits by running online advertisement and measuring engagement cycles. He is certified in Google Analytics and Google Search by Google and Data Analytics and Visualization by UC Berkeley.

 

Additionally, he has run several ad campaigns encouraging unregistered voters (in swing states) to register!

He loves listening/playing music as well as watching sports/playing fantasy sports.

Sienna Currie, Captain Coordinator

Sienna graduated from Wesleyan University on 2019 with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She hopes to become a Physician Assistant and has worked as an EMT in Los Angeles. The current inequities in the for-profit healthcare system in the US inspired her to get involved in get-out-the-vote work. 

Sienna works on Captain recruitment and engagement, research, and outreach.

In her free time you can find Sienna rock climbing, hiking, drawing, and making Spotify playlists.

Henry Saul, Expat Voter Coordinator

Henry is heading the expatriate voting project which focuses on recruiting captains abroad. He also works on our social media. Last year he worked on a senatorial campaign in Colorado. Henry is a sophomore at Yale University where he runs cross country and track & field. 

Henry became an eagle scout at Palo Alto High School. He loves the outdoors, specifically, backpacking, trail running, and scuba diving.

Max Pabilonia,

Intern

Max is a rising senior at Haverford College where she studies biology and pre-med. She's interested in lyme disease research. 

When she's not working or doing homework, she writes novels and volunteers as a suicide hotline counselor.
